About us

A sector without waste

Our process

Four core values on the path to sustainability

Reduce

Reduce waste streams

Businesses have a duty to optimise their production methods, materials usage and materials consumption and the associated waste flows in order to contribute to creating a circular economy. ECMR’s objective is to reduce the flow of waste to zero, as described in the global ‘zero-landfill’ environmental objective. The objectives set by ECMR are also based on the entire dismantling process, which is implemented based on a ‘zero-emissions’ policy. We achieve this by using solar panels to generate power.

Re-use

Cradle-to-cradle

Businesses should exploit the opportunities offered by re-use to the greatest possible extent. ECMR is a fervent supporter of environmentally friendly re-use of an extensive range of raw materials. In addition, ECMR warmly endorses the cradle-to-cradle philosophy. According to the ‘cradle-to-cradle concept’, most used raw materials can be put to good use in a new cleaning machine after their life in the first cleaning machine. Companies that work together with ECMR are able to implement the ‘cradle-to-cradle philosophy’ in their business operations faster and with greater ease. The motto is: Try to be exceptionally good instead of just less bad!

Recycle

The green solution

Manufacturers should embrace their accountability and recycle their end-of-life machines. However, this is an expensive process and requires suitable expertise. There are several different brands and models, which all require a different approach. ECMR applies the right recycling approach: ‘the green solution’.

Respect

Social involvement

Companies have a duty to show respect and responsibility and thereby contribute to improving the human habitat. ECMR’s added value is the fourth R: Respect. ECMR’s recycling method does not impact the environment in any way and still achieves the maximum result, demonstrating respect for the environment.

ECMR employs the long-term unemployed and young people with disabilities for its dismantling activities. Motivated by its feeling of social involvement, ECMR also actively tries to improve the position of people who are disadvantaged in the labour market, demonstrating respect for humanity.

Vision

ECMR aims to lead in the area of sustainability, specifically within the cleaning industry. We look further than linear production: we focus on closing the recycling loop. We collect and process machines and materials across the sector in order to achieve 100% recycling. This service is offered to producers, distributors and end-users. We work to eliminate e-waste via a closed-loop re-use system. In addition to machines, we also accept other products used in the industry such as vacuum cleaners, pressure washers and dispensers. As a result, we ensure that materials like aluminium, iron and plastic are fed back into the production process.

How we operate

We have established a leading position in the sector through active collaboration with major players in the cleaning industry. By offering our partners a turnkey service and sharing our expertise, we ensure that “end-of-life” materials and equipment are given a second chance via recycling activities, refurbishment or our re-use system.

Service

What drives us

The need for a climate-friendly industry has never been as pressing and urgent as it is today. Even though our natural resources are seriously depleted and raw materials are becoming scarce, the e-waste mountain continues to grow. ECMR firmly believes that sustainability is a form of hygiene. By looking beyond linear production, we focus our efforts on a sustainable and circular economy.
